HOW TO MAKE YOUR RENTAL PROPERTY MORE STYLISH

I recently came across a large section of cool things for the home on the Rosegal website . And I thought that many of these things look interesting in the photo. But they would obviously not fit into the calm interior of my house. “Who buys all this?” I thought. And then a simple thought occurred to me: these are simple things to make the interior of an inexpensive rented apartment more interesting.

I myself did not live in rented apartments much. Just changed two. One was a little more than completely dull. But now I understand what scope she had for creative decoration. I will share with you my thoughts on this matter.

In the rented apartment where I lived as a student, in the kitchen the walls were painted with a simple light blue enamel paint, and the cabinets were made of simple blue-painted wood. These smooth plain surfaces could be decorated with decorative stickers. For example like this:

Boring kitchen cabinets can be turned into creative chalkboards with special stickers.

And from the boring door of an old refrigerator, you can practically breathe into Narnia 🙂

We move from the kitchen to the bathroom. Most often, in cheap rented apartments, the tiles in the bathroom are old and the color is somehow indistinct. Since the bathrooms themselves are small, a fun shower curtain in the right color can already half fix the situation. For example, such an interesting curtain in the form of a wooden gate. Pick up more brown dark towels – and the bathroom will already be transformed.

If the bathroom does not have a mirror above the washbasin, you can use mirror stickers. However, they can be used even if there is a mirror – just stick them on another wall.

In a living room, it is easy to change the overall look just by changing the “clothes” on the windows. Remove the old master’s curtains and hang light curtains to your taste. It can be both minimalistic thick curtains made of white linen, and “cheerful” curtains with sunflowers or butterflies. Just make sure that nevertheless they are in tune with the wallpaper and furniture in the apartment.

An old sofa can be covered with a black fabric that looks like a matting, and stylish pillows can be scattered over it. In bright colors or vice versa – with black and white graphics.

Instead of old carpets, bright runners and small accent rugs are better, for example, by the sofa or bedside area.

And when guests come to you, set the table with a bright tablecloth with a geometric pattern.

In general, with a small budget, you can significantly transform your home. After all, even if you are in this rented apartment for a short time, you still want the atmosphere to be comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.
